Individual Sword Parameters – Your Requirements, Our Execution!

We want your sword to perfectly meet your needs. That’s why we give you the opportunity to specify your preferred parameters when placing an order. If you have specific requests regarding weight, blade length, balance point, or other details, please indicate them.

After receiving your guidelines, our team will thoroughly analyze the possibilities of fulfilling them and will contact you to confirm whether we can meet your expectations.

Remember that each of our swords is a craftsman's work. The process of making and final finishing is done manually, which gives each piece a unique character. Therefore, the final parameters of the finished sword may differ slightly from those ordered. This is a natural feature of handmade production and attests to the authenticity of your weapon. However, we assure you that we will make every effort to ensure that the sword closely matches your original specifications.

Two Options for Optimal Matching: We understand that the preferences and needs of reconstructors are diverse. That is why we offer two blade shapes so you can choose the one that best suits your fighting style and historical preferences:

- Classic blade: Characterized by a gentle taper towards the tip, it provides an excellent balance between cutting power and thrusting precision. This is a universal shape, proven on medieval battlefields.

- Blade with a wide base and narrow tip: This variant is wider at the hilt, which gives greater cutting power, while being very narrow and sharp at the tip, facilitating armor penetration and precise thrusts. It is the ideal choice for those who value diverse offensive capabilities.

Main blade with a wide base and narrow tip: This innovative blade variant combines cutting power with thrusting precision. Wider at the base, near the crossguard, it provides impressive kinetic force, translating into destructive cuts. At the same time, the blade narrows sharply, creating a very narrow and sharp tip. This design not only facilitates precise thrusts but also increases the ability to penetrate armor, which was crucial on late medieval battlefields. Moreover, the specific weight distribution of this blade allows for the creation of a sword with excellent balance, resulting in better control and user comfort. The fuller on this blade is made from the crossguard to about 1/3 or 2/3 of the blade’s length, depending on preferences and optimization for a particular specimen. It is an ideal choice for warriors who value diverse and dynamic offensive capabilities.

Medieval One-Handed Sword – A Classic on the Battlefield and a Loyal Companion of the Knight!

Transport yourself to the heart of medieval struggles with our faithful reproduction of the one-handed sword – the fundamental and most recognizable weapon of the era. From early to late medieval times, this reliable companion of knights and warriors was a symbol of their status and a tool that determined the outcomes of battles. Our one-handed swords have been created with history enthusiasts and reenactors in mind, who seek authentic and versatile weapons for training, demonstrations, and safe duels.

Power and Agility in One Grip:

Our one-handed sword stands out with solid craftsmanship and attention to detail, in accordance with historical patterns. Its balanced blade and handle designed for a secure one-handed grip provide unparalleled agility and speed in combat. This classic design allows for both quick cuts and precise thrusts, making these swords incredibly effective in various combat situations. The subtly shaped guard and well-balanced pommel guarantee excellent control over the weapon, allowing for dynamic maneuvers and quick changes of guard. The types of blades of such swords (e.g., X, XI, XII, XIII according to Oakeshott) feature varied profiles, from wide blades with grooves to more tapered ones, tailored to the needs of different periods of the Middle Ages.

Origins and Discoveries:

One-handed swords form the foundation of European weaponry from the early Middle Ages until the advent of firearms. Their evolution reflects changes in combat techniques and armor. They were commonly used throughout Europe, from Scandinavia to England, France, the Holy Roman Empire, and Italy to Eastern Europe, including Poland. Discoveries of these swords are numerous and encompass both simple, practical examples and true works of craftsmanship, often featuring intricate decorations. They were an inseparable part of the equipment of warriors of all ranks, bearing witness to the continuous development of European blacksmithing and the art of fencing.

Ideal for Reconstruction and Tournament Duels:

This sword has been designed with durability, safety, and the specifics of tournament duels in mind, making it an excellent choice for reenactors wishing to recreate battles from that era. Its solid and thoughtful construction makes it suitable for intense and controlled duels, providing both authentic experiences and the required durability in competition conditions. With it, your historical recreations and tournament performances will gain even greater realism and professionalism.

Individual Sword Parameters – Customize to Your Needs!

Given the large number of one-handed swords we have created, it is challenging to summarize their universal parameters. Each piece is crafted with attention to detail, and individual preferences are of utmost importance.

If you would like to order a sword with specific parameters (e.g., weight, blade length, balance point), please contact us – we will let you know if we can produce it according to your specifications. If you are interested in a sword with a specific appearance (e.g., inspired by a particular find), we will inform you about the parameters it can have to maintain historical fidelity and functionality.

Exceptional Quality of Materials – A Guarantee of Durability and Safety!

At the heart of each of our swords lies carefully selected steel and a precise hardening process, which together ensure unparalleled quality and safety of use. Our swords are made from high-quality 50HF steel, which is valued in the industry for its excellent mechanical properties.

Each blade is precisely hardened to an optimal hardness of 48 HRC (on the Rockwell scale). This is the result of years of experience and testing. Over the years, we have experimented with various combinations of steel and hardness, seeking the ideal balance. We believe that the combination of 50HF steel with a hardness of 48 HRC is the golden mean that makes our swords exceptionally functional:

  • Flexibility and Resistance to Deformation: Thanks to this combination, the sword is appropriately flexible, allowing it to absorb impacts and vibrations during combat. Most importantly, despite this flexibility, it does not suffer permanent deformations, returning to its original shape.

  • Optimal Hardness without Brittleness: The blade is hard enough to maintain its edge and withstand intensive use, yet it is not brittle. This minimizes the risk of the sword breaking during dynamic duels, which is crucial for your safety.
