Historical Inspiration

The blade, crossguard, and pommel are based on the Petersen typology of early medieval swords and the Oakeshott typology of later medieval swords. Although inspired by historical originals, this sword is not an exact replica. It is a modern interpretation designed to preserve the appearance and handling qualities of historical swords while meeting today’s standards for safety, durability, and performance.

Handmade Quality

Every sword is individually handcrafted, making each piece unique. No two swords are exactly the same. Because every stage of production is completed by hand, slight aesthetic imperfections or small variations may be present. These are not defects, they are a natural characteristic of traditional craftsmanship and proof that your sword was made by hand rather than mass-produced.

Materials

Our swords are forged from high-quality Polish steel sourced from the same trusted supplier that has served our workshop for generations. We deliberately use 100% Polish steel and do not import steel from Asia, ensuring consistent quality and reliability in every blade.

The blade is made from 50HF (51CrV4) spring steel and hardened to approximately 48 HRC. This heat treatment provides an excellent balance between hardness, flexibility, and durability, making the sword suitable for many years of proper use.

Handle Construction

The handle is made from beech wood, which is very strong and durable. I also use a double layer of leather, making the grip slightly wider. However, if you find it too large, you can easily remove one layer of leather or replace it with your preferred material to achieve the grip size and feel you prefer.

Quality Control & Warranty

Although every sword is carefully inspected and tested before leaving our workshop, steel is a natural material and, in rare cases, hidden imperfections may only become apparent after extended use. For your peace of mind, every sword is covered by a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects.

Each sword is supplied with a warranty card. Please keep it in a safe place, as it is required for any warranty claim. If your package does not include a warranty card, please contact us immediately and we will provide one as soon as possible.

Upon request, we also offer leather grip replacement in a range of available colours for an additional fee. Please contact us by email or WhatsApp for current colour options.
